Aesthetic School

"Shlalim-Tsvaim" activates during summer and winter holidays.
The purpose of this program is:
- to help Jewish families to find an occupation for their children during holidays;
- multilateral development of the child as a personality;
- development of intellectual and creative skills at children.

Children are involved in the activity of various studios and workshops:
1. Music studio. Children learn songs in Hebrew and get acquainted with Jewish folk songs, klezmer music, as well as they have the possibility to familiarize with the works of famous Jewish composers.
2. Fine Arts Studio. This program proves to be an effective way to enrich children's knowledge of Jewish holidays, Jewish traditions in the contemporary world art, Jewish historic heroes and characters from tales. Each lesson consists of two parts: theoretical (teacher's story) and practical (watercolors' and oil techniques, graphics).
3. Applied Arts Studio "Tvorets". In the framework of this program, children get acquainted with the secrets of applied arts, make various wooden shapes and paint them, putting their whole soul into this activity. While looking at those items, one can see reflection of Jewish creation and traditions.
4. Ceramic Workshop "I am in the World". During classes, children are involved in various pottery activities. They have made lots of original items, which, after final processing, were exhibited in the rooms of the Jewish community center.
5. Dance classes. Folk and modern Israeli dances - were main occupations of children during dance classes.
6. Computer classes. With the support of a professional teacher, children improved their computer skills. Differences in age and level are taken into consideration at each.
7. English & Hebrew Classes for different age groups and different standards of languages knowledge.
8. Psychologist service. The psychologist makes children to feel comfortable, to discover new abilities, to find solutions to different problems and conflicts, to teach them the art of communication, etc.
9. Chess Club. Attention, memory, logical thinking - all these skills are developed in the framework of the chess club. Children took part in different contests.

The analysis of the activity of Aesthetic School has shown that established goals have been achieved. There were positive results in the education and maturity of children. A series of lectures "Jewish tradition, history of Bessarabian Jewry" has been held during the activity of Aesthetic School.
