ROSH HODESH Each month Jewish families gather at the Library-JCC to celebrate Rosh Hodesh - the day of beginning of a new Jewish Month, according to wonderful ancient tradition and Torah Commandments. Librarians in cooperation with the Jerusalem JDC Library Department used to prepare and publish a series of booklets, pamphlets, bookmarks, methodological, literary and historical materials, bibliographical lists, lists of memorial events and dates special for each month. All these publications are spread throughout all the Jewish Libraries of the FSU.

The program has a special informal approach to learning Jewish Tradition and philosophy and understanding Jewish life and the opportunity of purification and renovation. It involves children, teenagers and adults, students, teachers of Tradition, specialists in the field of Jewish education into participation in lectures, disputes, discussions, puzzeles, intellectual games, carnavals, festivals, theatre performances, music shows, different workshops, etc. It aims to enrich the life of the community and of every single Jew.
